14 April 2025 (Cape Town, South Africa) –\u00a0<\/strong>Prepare for a first of its kind live concert event as Grammy Award-winning entertainment icon Lebo M takes to the stage in Cape Town on Friday, 18 April 2025 at the prestigious Grand Arena at GrandWest – 30 years after the iconic chant Nants\u2019 ingonyama put African music on the global stage. Featuring special guest Hans Zimmer, the concert will be the culmination of a week of events celebrating African talent, empowering the next generation of artists to success in the digital age and bridging continents through music.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Renowned composer, singer, songwriter, and music producer, Lebo M, will be joined by an all-star lineup including MiCasa, The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, The Soweto Spiritual Singers, The Ndlovu Youth Choir, Nkosinathi Shabalala and Refi Sings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celebrating nearly 40 years in music and film, Lebo M\u2019s journey began with The Power of One<\/em> and reached global acclaim with Disney\u2019s The Lion King<\/em>. His pioneering work reshaped how African music is experienced worldwide. An Oscar nominee and Grammy winner, Lebo M is globally recognised for his role in bringing African music to the world – as a composer, producer, and performer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Lebohang Morake, known professionally as Lebo M, is a Grammy Award-winning composer, producer, and performer best recognised as “The Voice and Spirit of The Lion King.”\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • After returning from exile to South Africa, Lebo M founded Lebo M Productions (formerly Till Dawn Entertainment) to develop the South African entertainment industry. His vision was to create infrastructure for South African creative industries to produce content meeting international standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Beyond “The Lion King” Lebo M has composed for numerous films including “Return to Pride Rock”, “The Power of One”, “Dinosaur” and “The Woman King”. He also served as executive producer and composer for the FIFA 2010 World Cup ceremonies in South Africa.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
