After taking a brief hiatus following the success of his sophomore album Lindokuhle, the award-winning soulful singer, Mlindo The Vocalist, makes a comeback with a sobering single titled\u00a0\u2018Isandla Ska Baba\u2019<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0featuring Makhafija set to be released on the 5th<\/sup>\u00a0of April 24.\u00a0\u2018Isandla Ska Baba\u2019<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0marks his bold re-entry into the music scene, delivering an important message through his soulful sound, showcasing his stand on GBV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Isandla Ska Baba\u2019<\/em><\/strong> offers a candid glimpse into Mlindo The Vocalists stand on gender based violence. When talking about what inspired the single, he shared \u201cGrowing up there was always a fight at my neighbours house were the father was always physically abusing my friend\u2019s mother, we were young those times but I remember how it affected my neighbour friend. The father being the bread winner would silence them. Unable to speak out for the sake of having a plate of food on the table in return they suffered emotional, physical and to an extent mental abuse.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mlindo The Vocalist continues and talks about the messaging of \u2018Isandla Ska Baba\u2019<\/em><\/strong> and what he hopes his audience feels and takes from the single \u201cThere might be some kid out there going through the same situation today, I\u2019m trying to reach out to them that they not alone and not feel like it and that they have a voice to speak out and also trying to prevent the cycle of abuse to women and these young men who are witnessing this scourge on women, this cycle sometimes begins at home hence we need to stand together to fight and prevent GBV  at all costs.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the fight against gender-based violence, the active involvement of men is paramount. Beyond being allies, men play a crucial role in challenging harmful stereotypes and fostering cultures of respect and equality. By speaking out against gender-based violence, men can help break the cycle of silence and create safer spaces for everyone. \u201cIt was a slow and gradual process of creation, I saw a trend on social media and later on TV about a rape and violent cases towards women, I was so heartbroken and shattered. It also hit me that this is becoming some sort of trend, and I don\u2019t see any of us as men standing up and fight for our sisters and mother\u2019s of the nation, I also questioned myself as an individual and decided to stand up and fight it through my music.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
